About the Role

We are hiring a results-oriented Key Accounts Manager responsible for managing sales operations and account performance across Modern Trade, General Trade, and HoReCa segments in Mumbai, Pune, and Goa. The ideal candidate should bring strong relationships within modern trade and proven experience in distributor management, product visibility, and secondary sales planning.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

· Manage key accounts across MT, GT, and HoReCa channels.

· Maintain strong relationships with modern trade chains and institutional HoReCa clients.

· Oversee all primary orders at distributor end and ensure product availability.

Sales & Distribution Execution

· Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for all product categories.

· Manage and evaluate distributors and their infrastructure using the WD performance system.

· Ensure product freshness and visibility across all key stores and zones.

· Monitor SOH (Stock on Hand) and ensure timely order placement.

Channel Strategy & Expansion

· Drive numeric and weighted distribution in MT, GT, and HoReCa.

· Identify potential new accounts and execute market expansion plans.

Sales Team Management

· Recruit, train, and coach Sales Executives and Team Leaders.

· Lead the regional sales team to execute the sales strategy effectively.

· Ensure project delivery, execution efficiency, and team productivity.

Trade Marketing & Visibility

· Collaborate with the Marketing team for product visibility and in-store activation.

· Ensure temporary and permanent visibility elements are deployed in the region.

· Monitor freshness and brand awareness across trade channels.

Data Analysis & Reporting

· Collate sales and market data to identify trends and issues.

· Prepare regional reports for sales performance, WD metrics, and ROI on trade activities.

· Use insights for planning future initiatives.

New Product Launches

· Support marketing and sales team in planning and executing new product/category launches in the zone.

· Ensure smooth market roll-out and sales penetration.

Supply Chain Coordination

· Coordinate between distributors, dispatch offices, and customers for smooth order execution.

· Align stock dispatches with demand to avoid gaps and maintain freshness.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years in FMCG Sales (preferably frozen & ambient food).

· Strong exposure to Modern Trade, General Trade, and HoReCa channels.

· Proven ability to manage and grow multiple distributor relationships.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with an existing network in MT & HoReCa in the western zone.

· Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing; MBA is preferred.

· Prior experience with imported/premium food brands or Korean/Asian food categories is a plus.

Additional Key Responsibilities

· Conduct regular market intelligence and competitor benchmarking across GT, MT & HoReCa.

· Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting, and optimal utilization of trade spends.

· Ensure flawless retail execution and planogram compliance in key outlets.

· Use CRM tools for beat planning, sales tracking, and team productivity monitoring.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service delivery, claim settlements, and stock availability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
